Summary of our project

 

As Erzincan BİLSEM - Vasile teacher’s team, we started with parent permissions. Permissions are important to use our data. We had permissions but we never shared our faces publicly. Safety and privacy is always important for us.

We learned about digital citizenship and e-safety issues. We watched the videos first. After that, we talked about them. We also talked about cyber bullying. We know that all kinds of bullying are terrible.

After e-safety works, we used forum to decide twinspace rules. They are important because we are a community on twinspace and we need some rules to share our posts in a friendly atmosphere. Forum is a place to share our ideas like brainstorming.

We have a good working plan and a page to share some web2.0 tools. We have a chance to learn more tools by looking at that page. We can also share new tools (we learned from somewhere else) with other partners.

Our teachers shared tasks to guide us and teach us some tools. They organized some meetings to use those tools and sometimes they shared links with us to use those tools in class. We had a lot of chance to learn many tools.

We met several times online to do some activities. The first meeting was to decide project steps. We shared our ideas to shape the project. This project is a great opportunity for us to make decisions and see their results without being judged. We also added a photo contest to the project. It is fantastic. We decided the theme and final date for contest. We played games and finished tasks during meetings.

Our project has a social media account. We can share our project with other people using that social media link. Two teachers organized it and we follow our account. Our teacher also shared the news we prepared for the project on our school’s webpage.

We prepared “bitmojis” and “pixton” avatars to introduce ourselves. They are great tools. We can create cartoons and comics using pixton. Our teachers also introduced themselves like us. We also introduced our schools and countries.

We prepared posters and logos in class. We worked alone on this task. We created our posters by trying different apps. It was a great experience for us. We learned different features of canva app. We also chose one poster and one logo for the project. It was important to have a voice in the project. We looked at them and chose our favorite without any prejudice.

We met online, talked about the project and prepared a poster together. It was a fun and nice meeting.

We organized a photo contest and this is my photo. I’m the winner of the photo contest. It was a fantastic activity. We took photos and uploaded them on twinspace. After that we voted our favorite photo and I won. I’m happy.

We organized a meeting together. Students wrote a poem together. We also created a collaborative poster together. We created a word art using words from each school. It was great.

We organized a secret penpal activity. We matched with a student from a different school to prepare New Year cards. We prepared our cards and sent them. Unfortunately, our cards got lost at the post office so we didn’t get any. But we met online to say happy New Year.
